Mission and Outreach Committee
The M&O committee is a committee of the pastoral charge and so has members from both Woodhouse and Grace United Churches and meets monthly during the fall and spring. We prepare and propose to the pastoral charge Board a proposed budget of charities and missions that we support directly through gifts to the Mission and Outreach through offerings from our church members. Presently we support Ryerson Camp, Caribbean Workers outreach, Key Bible clubs in local schools, Canadian Foodgrains bank, the Port Dover Lifeline Food bank and Gideons Bible society. The committee also operates Seniors Helping Seniors (see write-up on this program for more info) a local outreach program to help seniors stay in their homes. We sponsor Minutes for Mission updates periodically during worship services to inform the congregation on what the United Church of Canada is doing with the funds donated to the Mission and Service fund.
